On Retardation, Insanity, and Wizards

So lately I've been watching the 10 o'clock news, just because I like to keep up to date with the world every so often. Tonight, in particular, seemed like "internet sicko" day. There was an interesting report about a VERY well payed employee at a college in Boston who apparently arranged to have sex with an Alaskan man's five year old son while that man molests his own daughter. What this well payed employee DIDN'T know, is that the man he was talking with was an undercover agent with the police, and he was arrested at the baggage pick-up at an airport in Anchorage. Really? How sick do you have to be to arrange something like that? Obviously, there is something mentally retarded (not to deride those with mental issues, I mean this as a literal "mental retardation") about this man. Who would give up the plush, rich life that he had to go rape some man's poor son while watching that man molest his own daughter? He is either mentally retarded, or insane.

Which brings me to the second point of my rant for the day. I think I might be going insane. Thank Science that it's not the kind of insane as that other guy (the one mentioned above), but insane nonetheless. I guess I would have to be, they say that everyone who is a genius is a little bit batshit somewhere in there. My IQ report came back way back in the summer, telling me that I had an IQ of 141, which is certifiably genius. So I blame my insanity on my intelligence. Now, if only I had more artistic ability with that genius. Sure, there is all the art that I've done so far, but I'm having difficulty lately. Likely because I can never make up my mind on which style of art I want to learn well.

Which brings me to my final point. Back in like, sixth grade or so, I apparently wrote about a creepy twisted/dark version of the Wizard of Oz, and I just stumbled upon those horrible scribbles last night. I was talking about it with my friends, and we have all become emotionally attached to this story's success, and therefor, I want this shit to work out. The only problem is that I am finding it nearly impossible to draw the characters as I want them to appear. So, I was wondering if there were any fancy-cool people out there on dA that would like to draw them for me? I can't really provide any kind of payment (apart from your name going into the immortal "I love you forever" list), but I thought I would ask anyways.

The first character in the story is obviously Dorothy Gale. I'll be following the original book more than the movie, and making her very young. Basically, I see her as the not-terrifying versions of the Little Sisters [link] in Bioshock, wearing that dress that Dorothy wears in the movie, but dirty.

The next character is Tautau, the wolfman that Dorothy meets in OZ. Tautau is more or less humanoid, but with wolf-ish ears, fangs, and a rude temper. He wears clothes similar to a businessman's, but tattered and worn. His hair is somewhat short, but messy and black.

The Munching Kin are my equivalent to the Munchkins. They are short, impish ghoulies. Make them however you choose to. Basically, make little tiny creepies.

The next person that Dorothy meets is the scarecrow man, Dusk. Dusk is found in a cornfield, essentially crucified at the crossroads. His long, shaggy hair is an ashen grey, but he is young none-the-less. His eyes are the same shade of orange as pumpkins, and he wears patchwork grey clothing. Grey tight jeans, and a grey hoodie, with an orange t-shirt underneath, and big grey leather boots that don't seem to fit. His face is covered in scars [link] (I used zomgspongelolbob48's allen walker line art to make the reference, the only important part is the *PURPLE* lines that indicate scars, and the stitches over said scars)

Next is the Tin Man, Callum. Callum is a burly man in his mid-thirties, with two prosthetic arms, each equipped with a chainsaw blade along the forearms. His hair is short and blonde, and he has a perpetual 5 o'clock shadow. Also, his chest is encased in a life-support system a la iron man, giving his heart the strength it needs to keep pumping. Callum wears farmer-like clothing, very simple and practical.

Next up we have the man simply known as Lion. Lion is a silent wildman who was ousted from his tribe, and sentenced to wander the forests of OZ for life. Lion never speaks, rather, he growls or simply bares his teeth to communicate. His clothing consists of a lot of wrapped cloth in the colors of the forest, and he wears makeshift bone-claws on his hands as a weapon. His face is completely hairless, and his brown hair is spiky, but not terribly long.

Next are the Flying Monkeys. Draw then terribly creepy, mutated and such. Again, a blank slate, make it fun to draw.

Finally, we have the beautiful West, Queen of OZ. She is gorgeous, and dresses in white lolita-esque clothes, but her heart is ugly and dark. My only real requirement for her is that she has to have really dark brown hair.

Thanks again, I'll love you guys forever.
